Umanist Staffing is Hiring a Payroll Operations Specialist Near Los Angeles, CA
- Assisting with weekly payroll input managed by central payroll
- Maintaining and collecting timekeeping records
- Preparing and processing garnishments
- Providing support to employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Compiling overtime reports and monthly payroll reports
- Supporting external and internal audits
- Contributing to team efforts as required
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including simple and advanced formula usage, pivot table creation and manipulation, data sorting and filtering, cell formatting, and basic functions
- Basic proficiency in other MS Office products such as Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Pleasant personality with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
- Conscientious, organized, and meticulous in maintaining accurate records
- Familiarity with internal procedures and policies
- Capacity to diplomatically navigate difficult personnel situations with good judgment and negotiating skills
- Strong problem resolution skills and ability to escalate issues when necessary
- Capability to interpret and execute instructions effectively, whether verbal, written, or diagram form
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
