Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Step-Down Unit

Job Summary: The RN in the step-down unit provides specialized care to patients who need more intensive monitoring and treatment than a general medical-surgical unit can offer, but do not require full intensive care. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and provide treatments as ordered.
• Monitoring: Track vital signs and changes in patient conditions; document care and observations.
• Collaboration: Work with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Education: Educate patients and families about care plans and health management.
• Emergency Response: Respond to patient emergencies and assist in critical interventions.

Requirements:

• Education: Nursing degree
• License: Valid RN license.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (if required).
• Experience: Experience in a step-down or similar care unit is preferred.
• Skills: Strong assessment skills, ability to multitask, good communication, and proficiency with electronic health records.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $51.94 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
