DescriptionIowa Workforce Development (IWD) is a state agency dedicated to providing employment services for job seekers, including re-employment programs and Unemployment Insurance (UI). We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our talented software team working on mission-critical applications using Agile methodologies. The UI Tax Modernization Project aims to modernize IWD’s UI Tax system by re-architecting its components to industry-leading architecture and frameworks. This initiative will enhance service delivery for both agency staff and end-users while positioning the agency for future technological advancements.
The ideal candidate will be a leader and strong team contributor, eager to learn and develop their skills as a software professional, finding satisfaction in the patient pursuit of excellence. Responsibilities include gathering and validating requirements, preparing requirement and process mapping documentation, and facilitating requirements sessions with business stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements

Responsibilities include gathering and validating requirements, preparing requirement and process mapping documentation, and facilitating requirements sessions with business stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- 10 years of involvement in prior technology implementations
- 10 years of leading requirements gathering and validation with staff
- 10 years of developing requirements documentation, including Use Cases
- 10 years of testing system functionality against requirements and specifications
- 10 years of training staff on system functionality as developed
- 10 years of providing general technical assistance
- Experience using Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- 10 years of background in Finance/Accounting projects
