Job SummaryThe IT Business Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Information Technology division by ensuring the seamless execution of various financial and operational tasks. This position is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of IT administrative functions, directly impacting the overall performance of the organization. The position is responsible for managing IT budgets, processing personnel documents, tracking and categorizing IT invoices, managing and negotiating IT-related contracts, and providing financial assistance to departments within IT.
Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for effective staff management, including hiring and orientation, training and development, workflow and performance management, and the promotion of an inclusive and innovative work environment.
- Collaborate with IT Leadership to develop and complete annual Operating and Capital budgets.
- Analyzes historical trends, develops budgets, forecasts, and budget targets based on productivity standards and other measures to ensure IT performance within stated objectives & benchmarks.
- Produces monthly Budget Performance Analysis reports for IT Leadership review.
- Works closely with Accounting, Finance, and other departments to resolve financial reporting issues.
- Conducts various benchmarking exercises such as salary/benefits, expenses/cost trends, & productivity analysis
- Facilitates and provides monthly productivity and Service Level Agreement (SLA) reporting across all IT functions
- Performs various IT financial analyses on proposed projects as needed.
- Completes Return on Investment (ROI) calculations related to major project spend.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs, documents requirements, and provides information to clarify decision making
- All other related assigned responsibilities
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related applicable discipline
- 3 years of contract or budget experience
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of budget and contracting requirements
- Ability to communicate with all levels of hospital leadership and staff to ensure exceptional customer service is achieved
- Excellent project management skills; Possess good presentation skills and the ability to rally people for meeting deadlines
- Strong communication, analytical, administrative, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient user of commonly used software such as Microsoft Office Suite products
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
This position requires close and constant interaction with different customers across a variety of hospital departments and external entities. This position will work closely with Organizational Finance and Supply Chain leadership to ensure IT alignment with Organizational goals and objectives
Physical Capabilities
Position requires walking, sitting, and standing while on duty. Occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds is required. Adequate hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills are required.
Environmental/Working Conditions
This position is mostly subject to inside conditions which includes varying indoor temperatures
