UME Tea is Hiring a Store Manager Near North Hollywood, CA

NOTE:

This position will require training in our West LA location. Candidate must be able to commute to / from West LA initially.

FULL TIME

The store Manager's key role is to ensure exceptional customer service, maintain quality control, and foster a culture of hard work at the Los Angeles Ume Tea Location. This entails overseeing and motivating a team of Boba baristas and Shift Leads, with a focus on delivering unparalleled hospitality aligned with our values. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for optimizing store operations to achieve and surpass our financial and operational objectives.

ABOUT US

Ume Tea is a small california based boba chain with the goal of bringing AUTHENTIC and PREMIUM boba and taiwanese street snacks to the western market. Each store is privately owned and operated with full autonomy. The Los Angeles location has been open since August 2022.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

TEAM

  • Nurture and empower a team of Boba baristas and Shift Leads in our expanding business, fostering their growth through consistent guidance and recognition of their talents.
  • Implement comprehensive in-store training programs for all new team members, leveraging various training resources and tools, including a training tracker to monitor their development and achievements.
  • Strategize and establish a robust succession plan while actively seeking out exceptional candidates to join our ranks.

CUSTOMERS

  • Ensure every drink and food item is made to the quality Ume Tea is known for. This includes implementing rigorous quality control checks and
  • Continuously seek to improve our quality of service through soliciting and addressing guest feedback.

BUSINESS OPERATIONS

  • Continue to drive strong improving financial performance.
  • As a leader, set the standard for operational excellence that inspires and guides your Boba baristas and Shift Leads. Embody and reinforce the values and culture of Ume Tea through your own actions and behaviors, serving as a role model for the team to follow.
  • Build a schedule and deploy a team that ensures maximum efficiency, maintains our standards, and balances the needs and capabilities of your team members.
  • Maintain optimal inventory management by placing orders in a timely manner for the required materials, items, and services, ensuring the right quantities are acquired.
  • Demonstrate ownership by ensuring the store is clean, organized, and attractive. This includes delegating tasks and implementing deep cleanings regularly.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and brand requirements are being fulfilled at all times.
  • Bring excitement to the store with creative promotions, captivating store displays, and eye-catching visual merchandising. Take charge of evangelizing new food and drink items, and seasonal promotions.

YOU

  • 2-3 years of experience in food or beverage, with supervisor or management experience.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced yet fun and active environment.
  • Continuous demonstrated ability to lead and provide excellent customer service, even under stress.
  • Ability to manage a team of 15-20 employees of diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven and ongoing ability to drive sales and control costs.
  • Experience coaching, training, developing, and motivating others.
  • Outstanding abilities in communication and building relationships with others.
  • Efficiently manage time and effectively delegate tasks.
  • Ability to work full time, including variable hours such as mornings, evenings, weekends and/ or holidays. Flexibility is a must.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Legal documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States.

Wage range: $24-28 / hr MONTHLY PERFORMANCE BONUSES.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
