Investigates and prepares comprehensive reports of possible criminal acts and cash variances in all areas of the Casino Resort. Manages security activities for an assigned shift to protect the guest, employees and the physical and financial assets of the Resort. Provides back up coverage in the absence of the Security Manager. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Schedules and delegates work to appropriately staff security operations, directs workflow, and oversees daily operational issues, including time and attendance records.
  • Provides guidance and direction to the staff and makes recommendations to the manager regarding hiring, developing, and disciplining employees.
  • Ensures that proper procedures, policies, laws, and internal controls are followed.
  • Maintains current and comprehensive knowledge of gaming laws and regulations, internal controls, and the Tribal Gaming Compact.
  • Responds to and when possible, resolves security issues involving employees or guests.
  • Assists the Security Manager in conducting investigations, handling lost and found property, and maintaining proper records.
  • Resolves customer concerns and complaints and considers customer suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service to Resort guest.
  • Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
  • Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media. Limits access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
  • 1 year of experience in a security environment required.
  • Defensive Tactics Training/OC Spray required.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Must obtain an OLCC permit within first 90 days of employment.
  • Administrative/clerical experience required.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Analytical and mathematical skills required.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Able to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Excellent service approach when dealing with guests.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Current and valid Oregon Drivers License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC Drivers Program.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
