The Selected Candidate Will Perform The Following DutiesSystem Specialist 3
This position will function as a highly skilled SS3 with specific responsibilities that include:
- Primarily responsible for reviewing field collected roadway characteristics data for HPMS and MIRE Data Collection project.
- Analyze, edit and update collected data.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure data accuracy
- Analyzing data for trends that may affect data quality
- Utilize source data such as aerial imagery, PathWeb, and street view
- Adhere to agency data standards
- Coordinate with vendor to identify and correct data discrepancies
- Must be knowledgeable in the English language and be able to speak clearly and understandably
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
- Perform accurate data production, including reviewing data for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting errors or omissions in the data·
- Strong grasp of the fundamental principles, methods, and procedures used in data acquisition, management, analysis, and visualization in a GIS environment
- Able to utilize appropriate software tools and procedures to process and analyze data
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong communication and oral and written skills. Possess strong meeting and work session skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
- Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of transportation system (roadway attributes / network)
- Experience in Roadway Data collection and processing
- ESRI ArcPro
- Linear Referencing Systems knowledge helpful.
