Job Summary:
As a Senior Business Analyst – Manufacturing, you will support Unified’s manufacturing re-automation and transformation. Using your MES/MRP systems expertise and manufacturing knowledge, you'll develop requirements and collaborate on the evaluation, selection, implementation, and support of a new MES/MRP platform and other critical systems. You will assess and document manufacturing workflows, define system requirements and enhancements, and ensure system integration. Your role includes identifying and implementing solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and integrating with Unified’s enterprise applications. By understanding core business processes, you'll enhance information visibility and accuracy, identify process improvements, and mitigate risks. You'll build strong partnerships with business and manufacturing teams and connect with the IT shared-service organization to ensure reliable project and service delivery.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and collaborate with Manufacturing department heads and teams.
  • Work with SMEs and cross-functional teams to define MES/MRP requirements, manage RFPs, vendor selection, and product demos.
  • Unlock MES/MRP functionality to enhance performance and drive automation.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, document processes and improvement opportunities, and propose system solutions.
  • Document system change requirements, design specifications, implementation strategies, and operational procedures.
  • Streamline processes, reduce costs, and develop production metrics.
  • Guide end users in defining requirements and converting them into design specs.
  • Design and implement MES/MRP solutions to enhance production and supply chain integration.
  • Lead efforts to implement new system functionality and process modeling.
  • Ensure MES/MRP platform meets Manufacturing objectives and client satisfaction.
  • Align manufacturing processes and technologies across business segments.
  • Influence senior leadership on technical directions and new approaches.
  • Address implementation obstacles with creative solutions.
  • Develop business cases for new software implementations and enhancements.
  • Communicate status and risks to stakeholders and project managers.
  • Build and maintain cross-organization partnerships.
  • Contribute to IT team's success and strategy with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Liaise between manufacturing, IT, and MES/MRP vendors.
  • Perform system enhancements, configurations, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist with application design, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Support end users by submitting system requirements to IT or vendors.
  • Facilitate change requests, testing, and communication with user groups and QA teams.
  • Collaborate on project management and IT SDLC methodology.
  • Maintain change management documentation and adhere to SDLC policies.


Experience: 

  • Must have 7 years of progressive Business Analysis experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, and Financial Management systems.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with MES/MRP platforms and business application systems.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with SDLC, system development methodologies, and requirements gathering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a national multi-site manufacturing/distribution business model.
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of manufacturing needs and workflows, with experience recommending automation and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Prior experience in door and frame manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with systems and business integration.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to translate business needs into system specifications
  • Experience leading teams/projects from initiation to closing
  • Proficiency in process improvement methods and system enhancement projects
  • Excellent critical thinking, process analysis, and workflow mapping skills
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and listening skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Deep understanding of MES/MRP master data objects and relationships
  • Experience in process improvement, including current-state and future-state mapping
  • Ability to lead strategic initiatives that achieve business objectives with measurable results
  • Capability to configure MES/MRP systems to meet manufacturing and business needs
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in identifying system improvements, defining requirements, and testing
  • Strong analytical thinker with effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to design and architect solutions
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Successful experience working in a nationwide organization
  • Proven track record of defining and delivering complex IT strategy
  • Positive and agile mindset focused on solving complex challenges
  • Ability to identify root causes of performance variances
  • Strong computer skills, including the complete MS Office Suite
  • Project management experience is a plus

Location:

  • This position requires an onsite presence at our Port Washington, NY office

Salary and Compensation: 

  • In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At Unified Door and Hardware Group (UDHG), we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $129,500.00 - $150,000.00
