The I Rise Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to taking action towards adolescents’ health and well-being by providing mentorship, prevention, intervention and leadership programs.

Our mission is to equip youth and young adults with the knowledge of independent living skills, leadership, self-respect, emotional regulation awareness, health and wellness and employment skills.

At the I Rise Foundation, we understand the importance of mental, emotional, and behavioral health. That's why we provide comprehensive services and coaching to support the mindset and empowerment of our youth and young adults. We strive to identify second chance youths who are in the foster care system, aging out of foster care, incarcerated youth, and youth coming out of incarceration. We offer individualized and community resources and support to guide adolescents in graduating from high school, gaining employment, educational programming, and health and wellness. Our services will provide the opportunity for youth to become thriving, responsible members of society.

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a key role in developing visually stunning and engaging design concepts across various mediums. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Brand Marketing team to understand project objectives and deliver high-quality visual solutions that effectively communicate our brand's message.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Develop innovative and visually appealing design concepts, layouts, and graphics that align with project objectives and brand guidelines
  • Create designs for various mediums, including digital platforms, print collateral, packaging, advertising materials, and more
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, graphic designers, and other Brand Marketing stakeholders to brainstorm ideas, provide feedback, and refine designs to achieve the desired results
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, creative thinking, and attention to detail in all design projects
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards across all design projects.
  • Contribute to the evolution and refinement of the brand's visual identity, helping to shape and communicate its essence effectively
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality design standards
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to design projects
  • Share knowledge and insights with the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth
  • Implement feedback and changes whenever possible
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and creative concepts
  • Proficiency in design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva etc.)
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and ideas
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually compelling designs that effectively communicate brand messaging
  • Knowledge of digital design principles, UX/UI, and responsive design is a plus

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
