Position SummaryThis position assists in the assembly and wiring of a variety of machine tools and automation projects. Assembles and wires industrial control panels, operator controls, machines, and powers machine for troubleshooting.
Essential FunctionsUtilize engineering documentation (bill of materials, panel layouts) and electrical schematics to ensure compliant and fully functioning panel/control
Prepare electrical cabinet for mounting of devices with exacting standards
Assemble and wire industrial control panels and operator controls with strong attention to detail to produce a clean, organized product.
Wire machines and automation using engineering documentation
Position RequirementsFive years' experience with industrial equipment, machine tools and/or automation or Associates degree in electrical technology or similarly structured training program
Attention to detail and a desire to maintain high standards of workmanship
Flexibility and willingness to learn- willingness to perform various job functions as needed to finish projects
Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsRegularly lifts up to 25 pounds unassisted. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds unassisted. Occasional use of overhead cranes for lifts greater than 50 pounds
Regularly stands for 8 hours
Regularly bends, stoops, kneels, stretches, reaches and moves
Regularly engages close focus and depth perception
Regularly exerts up to 10 pounds of force
Work environment is bright and temperature controlled
EOE, including disability/vets
