We have an immediate opening for a Truck Sales Specialist in our Cedar Rapids, IA location.GTG Peterbilt is expanding and looking for you! The successful candidate is a self-starter who can develop a territory to accomplish 15% market share by identifying key conquest accounts and growing retention business along the way. Truck experience is a plus but not a necessity if candidate demonstrates the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to sell premium products by showing value to customers. Innovation and fresh ideas are a must for success in this field. Requirements
Identify and profile prospective customers using company tools.
Put plan into action to develop these customer prospects.
Call on assigned accounts within territory and develop new prospects.
Identify customer needs and sell the dealership capabilities to meet those needs.
Keep current on market and customer trends and report on competitive activity.
Stay informed on new products and industry information that will assist in sales efforts.
Coordinate efforts with outside parts and service personnel to achieve full market penetration.
Inform all departments of customer needs.
Achieve 15% market share within territory.
Sell 80 or more new/used vehicles per year.
Qualifications
Ability to listen and communicate with customers and co-workers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within assigned territory.
Minimum two years sales experience.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to clearly communicate updates to senior management and key dealer personnel.
Ability to identify and qualify potential customers.
CDL preferred.
Education
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required.
Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
