Description
A part-time Storytelling Intern within our Marketing Department, who will assist UCP's Marketing team in developing, writing, and distributing clear and effective content across all platforms. Tasks include copywriting, maintaining press database, drafting mass e-mail communication, posting content on UCP's social platforms and auditing the agencies web presence.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • The ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • The ability to track and execute multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines
  • Creating clear and compelling written content across platforms
  • Occasional administrative duties including managing press database
  • The ability to shape a story in a group and individual setting
  • The ability to produce various projects from the ground up if necessary
  • Comfortable working directly with children during Photo/Video projects
  • Required attendance at special events as requested (set-up & breakdown included)
HOURS REQUIRED
20 hours a week
COMPENSATION:
A $500 stipend will be paid upon a successful completion of the internship
*If a candidate is selected for the internship program they are required to pass a background check, UCP will reimburse the selected intern for the background check upon successful completion of internship
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
A student pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, or Nonprofit Management
EXPERIENCE:
  • Knowledge in marketing and communications best practices
  • Attention to detail and grammar
  • Experience or interest in copywriting for web, social media, and press releases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity or strong interest in SEO and Social Media analytics
