United Claims Specialists has an immediate opening for Public Insurance Adjusters and/or Apprentices in New York City (Bronx County, Kings County, New York County, Queens County and Richmond County), Rockland County and Westchester. We are looking for licensed adjusters and/or apprentices with the appropriate licensing and bonds. Please forward a copy of your adjuster's license along with your resume.

Requirements/Experience:

To be considered, applicants must have:

• Adjuster's License and Bond (if applicable)
• 3 years of experience as an insurance adjuster or examiner in property claims
• Proven experience in salesmanship and business development
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Keen on generating own business and creating valuable relationships within the PA field
• Knowledge of property insurance policies and their interpretation
• Excellent follow-up skills
• Positive attitude and excellent organizational skills
• Customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction (preferred)
• Experience with scoping, sketching, and Xactimate (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively generate new business and build relationships within the public adjusting field
• Utilize salesmanship skills to attract and retain clients
• Generate own leads; company will provide leads, but bulk of earnings will be derived from generating own clients and relationships
• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged property and prepare detailed reports
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on the claims process
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters to achieve maximum settlement for clients
• Document and manage all aspects of the claims process
• Stay informed on industry regulations, standards, and best practices
