OVERVIEW
The Lead Project Engineer is an equal partner on the product development team bringing their expertise to assist in design strategies and development of our world-class consumer products. The Lead Project Engineer interfaces with Product Marketing, Engineering, Quality and liaises with suppliers to help determine the development path that will result in a robust product. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Lead the engineering development of products through detailed understanding of performance feasibility to meet requirements.
Collaborate closely with the Industrial Design to ensure concepts are both functional and can be manufactured.
Communicate ideas quickly and effectively using a combination of sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models and working prototypes to evaluate potential solutions.
Hands-on involvement in development engineering, input specifications, concept feasibility evaluations, prototyping, and testing.
Continually evaluate and improve designs for meeting all key performance criteria in cost and performance in an efficient manner.
Evaluate new ideas, products and/or features that improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and keep our product line at the forefront of our industry.
Participate in concept brainstorming.
Assist in creating product prototypes for internal evaluation as well as for customer and consumer testing/feedback.
Lead or partner in problem solving issues applying best practices for root cause analysis.
Lead or partner in planning development activities to meet project deadlines.
Liaising with suppliers on shared development activities.
