Recovery Team Lead

The Recovery Team Lead’s main purpose is to support the Recovery Manager. The primary support is through supervising and providing guidance to employees of the Recovery Department with the goal of mitigate losses and increase recoveries.

REPORTS TO: Recovery Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal laws that apply to commercial repossession, including impacts of bankruptcy.
  • Review status of repossession and remarketing accounts and ensure efforts are pursued according to established policy.
  • Prepare monthly problem loan reports and forecast recoveries.
  • Negotiate and resolve problem accounts, within approval authority guidelines.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to staff regarding best course of action based on feasibility and established guidelines.
  • Manage repossession and remarketing networks nationwide.
  • Approve invoices for payment.
  • Train, review, and supervise employees in the Recovery Department.
  • Maintain departmental procedures.
  • Oversee daily recovery staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has supervisory responsibilities.
  • Directly supervises employees within the Recovery department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, approval authority and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: (Contract Management Systems; Microsoft Office). 
  • Other skills required:
