Position Description: Manager, Production / Load Out Alternate Shifts
Company: United Dairy, Inc. (UDI)

Responsibilities:
Supervising / Directing:
Ensure the Safety of UDI employees.
Ensure Batching, and processing equipment documentation is properly filled out, ensure the
Batching and Processing equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized and all regulatory standards
are met.
Ensure the right products are produced at the right time to properly load trucks in the correct
sequence.
During your shift ensure all fillers and bottling equipment that have completed production runs are
properly cleaned and sanitized
Ensure milk cooler / loading dock cleanliness is at internal and external Audit standards at all
times. Each shift must leave its work area in excellent condition prior to departing the facility.
Ensure the scheduled load out personnel are loading product in a timely manner with a high rate of
accuracy.
Ensure all procedures necessary to achieve microbial results acceptable to internal and external
specification are followed throughout the cold room (temperature). Work closely with the Lab
Techs, Operations Managers, and outside vendors to achieve the best results.
Ensure performance results are communicated to exempt and non-exempt personnel in meetings
using written reports, charts, and graphs.
Ensure UDI’s expectation of load out efficiency levels, safety, and cost are communicated through
shift start-up meetings to the non-exempt work force, measure the results, and hold employees
accountable for their performance, utilizing Training, and the PDA process.
Communication / Written and Oral:
Communicate with the nonexempt work force all daily necessary changes in the plant operation
and manage the nonexempt work force in a fair and equitable manner.
Communicate daily operational needs to the Plant Manager and other Ops managers through
verbal, phone, voice mail, and e-mail communications.
Accurately communicate to your supervisor, and other managers where necessary, all problems,
potential problems, and opportunity areas on a daily basis.
Accurately communicate to non-exempt employees the necessary information to ensure all daily
operational needs are fulfilled.
Scheduling:
Check the schedule daily to ensure Batching and Processing to ensure the proper products are
available for bottling.
Daily, determine the order of production runs by product, direct filler operators as such, to ensure
the proper truck is loaded, with the proper product, at the proper time.
Daily, ensure products are scheduled in the proper order to make the most efficient use of load out
personnel and time.
Daily, ensure that cold room personnel are scheduled to complete the desired amount of work in a
safe, timely efficient manner.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
