Overview Our HHAs provide personal care and related services in the home, under the instruction of the RN Case Manager. Tasks to be performed by an HHA must be assigned by the plan of care and performed under an RN who will be responsible for the client care / services provided by the HHA.
Under no circumstances may an HHA be assigned to titrate or change the settings of oxygen concentrators, receive or reduce any intravenous procedures, or any other sterile or invasive procedures, other than rectal temperatures or enemas.
On occasion, may be required to bend, stoop, reach and move client weigh; lift and / or carry up to 30 pounds. Must be able to effectively communicate in many methods including verbal, written, and visual.
Must adhere to company guidelines and policies as set forth in the contract EQUIPMENT OPERATION Use of BP cuff Thermometer Stethoscope Pulse oximeter Hand washing materials COMPANY INFORMATION Has access to client service records for work performed, which may be discussed in confidentiality with other members of the health care team, management staff, and other staff members, including the Governing Body.
