Responsibilities:

-Loads and unloads trailers.

-Determines placement of product and transports to designated area.

-Positions lifting device under or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports loads to a designated area. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.

-Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to identify product to be moved. Reviews customer orders and determines product location.

-Attaches identifying tag(s) or label(s) to materials or marks pertinent information on cases, bales, or other containers.

-Counts and records number of material units moved or handled on daily production sheet.

-Completes a daily job card to accurately record job codes, order numbers, and time keeping.

-Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.

-Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

-Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

-Operates hand held scanners (RF Equipment), computer systems (WMS), and may manually input additional data as required.

-Replaces propane tanks, recharges electric batteries, and changes batteries using battery crane.

Skills:
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts, such as reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, and order pickers

- Experience with heavy equipment operation in a warehouse or distribution setting

- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and order picking processes

- Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently

- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment

- Excellent organizational skills to maintain an organized warehouse layout

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals

- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions

Note: Prior experience as a forklift operator is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
