United Faith Christian Academy has an opportunity available for the right candidate to serve as the Dean of Students for our K12 school. If you are an experienced Leader who loves Jesus, loves serving students, families and teachers, and loves leading students to live out their faith in Jesus through their actions, then this might be the right position for you!
The position requires a Bachelor's degree and appropriate leadership and organizational experience in overseeing the responsibilities of the position. A graduate degree in educational counseling, student services, or similar is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Act as the leader of the school for student well-being, responsible for setting the standards for the school’s day-to-day interaction with students and families and the discipline of students.
Ensure student services align with accreditation association and other relevant standards.
Actively work with department heads regarding student services development and work with the Administration team to ensure student services goals are met that support the mission of the academy (Christ-centered, Biblical worldview, college preparation, leadership, service).
Develop and maintain appropriately detailed student discipline records, including documentation of correspondence with students, families and teachers, and that provide for appropriate privacy and security of information.
Identify strategies that promote student well-being and culture that can be enhanced for both faculty and parents and that support the academy’s mission and vision.
Search out other like-minded schools and develop partnerships to further all areas of student well-being and culture for United Faith Christian Academy.
Work with the Dean of Academics and Head of School to provide leadership to develop participation in academic or non-academic clubs and competitions to promote student well-being and culture and ensure they remain effective. Develop new academic or non-academic clubs as needed.
