United Family is Hiring an Operations Supervisor - Grocery Near Lubbock, TX

Summary:
The Operations Supervisor - Grocery is responsible for coordinating daily and weekly manpower and warehouse activities. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive working environment through leadership, motivation and training and development of Team Members.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure inventory is correct by timely and accurate receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory management
  • Direct daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and positive working environment for Team Members
  • Responsible for maintaining good atmosphere, spirit, and morale through motivation and instilling excellence for all Team Members regarding their job performance, relations with one another and with guests in a positive manner
  • Deliver Team Member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate
  • Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced (i.e. accounting, operational, safety, regulatory and administrative)
  • Manage turnover among hourly Team Members to ensure company goals are met
  • Ensure Team Members have proper access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned duties and that the tools are routinely inspected and cared for
  • Plan, manage, and adjust the daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtime
  • Maximize quality and productivity by understanding job standards for each function, and evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause and corrective action
  • Participate in the collection of performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and site requirements
  • Ensure shift/daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished (i.e. staffing, equipment, space)
  • Participate in the completion of workshop action plans, projects and best practice sharing/implementation
  • Perform all job duties as assigned by manager
  • Perform other duties as requested or required by supervisor
Key Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience in operations is preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous warehouse experience
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in a lead/supervisor/management role
  • Must possess leadership skills, maturity, technical skills, and proven operations track record.
  • Knowledge of company policies
  • Must be very detail oriented and have a high focus on quality control
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, delegate and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing positive and efficient working relationships with partners and team members
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
