Overview:
United Fire Sprinkler Service is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team in the Charleston, SC area. The ideal candidate will have experience in fire sprinkler fitting and possess mechanical knowledge to perform installations and maintenance of fire protection systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and repair fire sprinkler systems according to codes and standards
- Assemble and install piping, valves, and fittings using hand and power tools
- Conduct pipe threading, cutting, and welding as necessary
- Perform caliper measurements for accurate pipe fitting
- Test systems to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire sprinkler systems
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
Qualifications:
- Experience in fire sprinkler fitting
- Mechanical knowledge for system installations and repairs
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with codes and standards related to fire protection systems
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of pipe threading, cutting, and welding techniques
- Ability to assemble components accurately
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
