United Fruit and Produce is Hiring a Procurement Specialist (Engineer) Near St. Louis, MO

United Fruit and Produce has been in business for over 100 years. We are a wholesale produce distributor. Produce is shipped here from all over the United States! We service clients all over the Midwest. We are a fast paced and rapidly growing company with tons of internal growth opportunities!

We are looking for a dynamic procurement specialist to join our growing team. This position works as a team player to ensure client needs are met and the highest quality of sales experience is delivered to clients.

Essential Functions:

As a self-motivated individual, you will be responsible for assisting clients in fulfilling their purchasing needs. Tasks will include, building relationships with clients, receiving product, building and processing orders, and coordinating with team members to ensure orders are fulfilled and completed in a timely manner.

Experience is not necessary for this role. We offer extensive training. Starting salary is $75,000 with potential increases after training and merit-based bonuses.

Competencies and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Engineering
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of the position (sitting at desk for long periods, must be fit enough to move about the facility and check product/orders, occasionally lift up to 50lbs, being able to withstand working in varying temperatures, noisy environments, etc.)
