United Health Services is seeking a PACU Staff Nurse to join our department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Salary range: $37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience.
Overview: United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, PACU to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The PACU is a very fast-paced and collaborative environment working with a wide variety of patient. PACU thrives on the rewarding feeling of working together as a team to manage patients’ pain and see them improve rapidly!
QualificationsSchedule: 8 hour shifts; weekends and holidays are on call
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitoring patients post anesthesia (drips, blood pressure, airways)
- Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed
- Assessing and managing pain levels
- Educating and advocating for patients
- A valid RN license
- Previous PACU, ICU, or Telemetry experience preferred
- ACLS preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
- Current NYS RN License
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
- Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
