Job Description: Pediatric Occupational TherapistLocation: Marshall, MI 49068
Shift: Full Time, 4 x 10-hour shifts
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Days may vary and can be negotiated)
Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $40 to $45 per hour (W2)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in Marshall, MI. This full-time position offers a unique schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, providing comprehensive therapy services to children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with pediatric patients and be committed to enhancing their developmental skills and overall well-being.
ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients to determine their functional abilities and areas needing improvement. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each child's specific needs. Use a variety of techniques and activities to help children develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and other occupational skills. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care and support for each patient. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate and support families and caregivers in understanding and reinforcing therapeutic techniques and activities at home. Maintain a safe and engaging therapy environment that encourages participation and progress. Stay current with the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy to provide the highest standard of care.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Michigan.
- Proven experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a clinical or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and pediatric conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
