Position Classification: Full Time 30-40 hours

Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5pm, some evenings and weekends, on occasion.

What you’ll do

The Life Enrichment Assistantassists with the planning, scheduling, and coordinating of meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents. This position will also participate in community planning related to community interests and needs of residents and family. 

• Assist in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of a diverse program of classes, events, community events and resident in-room visits.
• Assist in the development and administration of policies
• Interviews residents
• Performs administrative duties such as completing forms, reports, etc.
• Assist in arranging transportation
• Actively engage residents 1:1 when necessary 
• Maintain contact and involvement with residents’ family with non-medical verbal reports
• Assist in standardizing methods of work

What it takes

• A minimum of 6 months of experience working in resident engagement or activity planning.
• Experience working with the older adult population preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and provide follow-through on all projects.
• Ability to move frequently throughout the workday, including crouching, twisting, grasping, lifting/pushing, balancing, and kneeling. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) with the ability to learn new applications.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
