Reporting Relationship This position reports to MS Principal. Position Purpose:
Math/Science Teacher
Seeking experienced Math/Science educator with a background in Middle School teaching.
This is a full-time position with the possibility of additional hours in various projects in grades 5-8.
This teacher will be a part of a collaborative department with an internationally focused curriculum.
Advisor
The teacher will be part of a grade-level team of Advisors who supports the social-emotional needs of the Middle School grade.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Teaching Math/Science to students in grades 5-8.
Responsible to execute the duties of a Middle School Advisor
Supervising students during non-instructional time, attending curriculum and grade level meetings
Other duties as assigned and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (e.g. advisory, supervision duties, office hours)
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills, oral and written, and ability to adapt messages to specific audiences, requiring different levels of detail
Experience in a K-12 educational environment is essential
Experience with best practices in assessment and reporting best practices preferred (e.g. Standard-Based Grading and Reporting)
Salary Range: $66,093 to $109,243 (prorated for part-time, temporary positions)
