United Property Associates (UPA) was founded in 1978 in response to the need for quality property management in Hampton Roads for apartment communities, homeowner and condominium associations, and single-family homes.

THE NEED

Accounting Representative needed for the Association Division in the Virginia Beach office. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing excellent customer service and have keen attention to detail.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of accounts receivable or accounts payable experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and extremely thorough work ethic.
• Must be adept using Microsoft Word and Excel and previous Strongroom accounting software system a plus.

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Self-motivated, detail oriented and reliable.
• Can establish relationships quickly and easily with a diverse group of people.
• Has a high energy level and great customer service skills.
• Goal oriented and results focused.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting Representative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Accurately code and enter/process all money.
• Research and update/adjust accounts as needed.
• Assist with customer service calls.
• Compute, classify, record, update and verify data for use in maintaining accounting records.
• Receive and verify invoices and reimbursements for goods and services.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Process departmental mail.
