Job Summary

The Yard Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting professional carhaulers throughout several yards. Shuttle Drivers must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Job Duties

  • Ensure Shuttle Van is clean and fully visible to all drivers in the yard who may need assistance
  • Manage multiple drivers by circling the lot and ensuring drivers can access the van as needed.
  • Assist drivers in locating and pulling inventory for loads
  • Understand and assist drivers with rules in the yard
  • Understand the layout of the yard and where inventory is located
  • Ability to multitask and track routes through the yard effectively and efficiently

Skills Required

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Work effectively with peers to correct deficiencies and improve processes
  • Working knowledge of automotive rail yards and layouts
  • Good and safe driving skills
  • Maintain a positive work, safety-centered atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters a good work ethic and culture to ensure the success of business operations to meet company demands and expectations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to drive a Transit van
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Check
