Description
SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the BSA Officer, this position performs various assignments related to the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act Program (BSA) and anti-money laundering (AML) functions. This position is primarily responsible for daily money laundering and fraud prevention activities of the Bank and requires a thorough and accurate review of BSA-related filings and reports. Additionally, tasks relating to suspicious activity filing and compliance with BSA regulatory requirements will be necessary for inclusion into daily duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
· 5 years of banking experience and 2 years of direct experience with BSA.
· Good working knowledge of BSA/AML requirements and regulatory compliance issues.
· Good understanding of industry trends, suspicious activity reports, and currency transaction reports filing.
· Good judgment in identifying fraudulent activity and analyzing system-generated fraud alerts.
Other Job Requirements: Skills, Abilities, Competencies:
· Basic accounting skills with mathematical aptitude and Excel spreadsheet skills.
· Must be proficient in the use of personal computer systems, internet applications electronic mail, and various Windows-based software applications including, but not limited to, banking application software, Word, and Excel.
· Observe the highest degree of confidentiality in handling information received while discharging responsibilities.
· Initiative-taker able to work without constant supervision.
· Able to provide positive guidance regarding regulatory requirements to other personnel.
· Demonstrates strong people skills to communicate effectively with officers and frontline staff.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work within prescribed time limits.
· Ability to manage workload with multiple time limits and changing priorities.
· Ability to make independent decisions under minor supervision of the BSA Officer.
