United Staff Group is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional . The paraprofessional shall be working with students who requires a behavioural aide who can also provide academic support.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to special education students in a classroom setting
- Assist students with daily activities, including personal care and hygiene
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the special education teacher
- Collaborate with the teacher to develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum
- Support students in developing academic skills, such as math and literacy education
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assist with behavior management strategies and interventions

Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed

Note: Experience in toddler care, preschool, math, curriculum development, and lesson planning are highly desirable but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.25 - $20.25 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
