- Provide overall direction and field administration of his/her assigned project. Includes active participation in the job execution.
- Conduct walk downs and formal audits of all jobs being performed as part of the project. Provide Pre-Engineering Packages to include P&ID flow diagrams.
- Proficient is visio/autcad to develop detailed written procedures. Provide complete job estimates and costing with written proposals.
- Responsible for generating sales leads in target accounts. Lead the sales force and PLM in preparation of estimates and procedures in planning of projects, with emphasis on operational efficiency.
- Interface with venders and subcontractors to develop job costs, schedule equipment for delivery and pick-up, and review vendor invoices.
- Manages the assigned personnel, equipment and subcontractors.
- Ensures work performance is planned and coordinated according to the schedule, with strict adherence to safety, quality and budget considerations.
- Maintains project work site in a safe and environmentally sound condition per DOT, EPA, and OSHA guidelines.
- Acts as USES’s main contact with the customer for the resolution of operational issues.
- Initiates corrective action for any unsafe or environmentally unsound condition. Report situations as per company and customer regulations and procedures.
- Ensure that all customer and company policies are adhered to in the completion of the assigned projects.
- Monitor morale of personnel on project and strive to maintain a high level and “can do” attitude.
- Interface as required with customer contact and constantly seek opportunities to sell additional services.
- Actively participate in feedback and post-job evaluation portions of the project.
- Maintain a detailed daily log of the events.
- Monitor assigned equipment for signs of mechanical problems and work with PLM to ensure here are no on job equipment failures. Take action to rectify deficiencies.
- Identify personnel capable of advancement and provide necessary on the job training. Mentoring field staff in product line development.
- Assess appropriate discipline for any transgression occurring on the project site.
- Look ahead and coordinate with division office/dispatch/PLM to have adequate manpower, equipment, and chemistry on site as it is needed.
- Establish computer tracking to provide cost per day, % completion, etc. as required.
- Understand proposal and quotes to manage the commercial aspects of project and when to use change orders, etc.
- Thinking skills-decision making ability, seasoned judgment.
- Understands Evergreen lines of business.
- Outstanding knowledge of customer’s industry with regards to maintenance, services, operations and their relationship to in-plant safety.
- Skills in supervision, planning coordination and labor relations.
- Strong skills in analysis and problem solving.
- Strong skills in ‘big picture’ thinking, be able to effectively manage several activities at one time.
- Awareness of administrative functions dependence of timely information flow from the project.
- Adequate computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point
