The Office of Senator Maria Cantwell seeks a personable, professional individual to serve as the Senator’s Driver and State Scheduler based in Washington State.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to driving the Senator during Senate recess periods, assisting the outreach team in planning the Senator’s schedule during recess periods, and attending events on behalf of the office when needed.

Applicants must be able to work well in a team environment and exercise discretion, and possess strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of work experience and be an assertive individual with the ability to anticipate potential issues that may impact the schedule and priorities of the day, and also have tangible experience multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines.

Please note that this is not an entry-level position. A mix of previous administrative, scheduling, and driving experience is required.

This position requires the individual to be available for extended and unscheduled hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and great driving record. Having a car is required for this role.

Salary begins at $65,000 with a review after six months.
