Busy medical office looking for a front desk receptionist. This person will need the following qualifications:

Duties:

  • Greet patients in a professional manner both in person and on the phone.
  • Schedule appointments by phone, computer, and in person at check-out.
  • Enter patient demographics, insurance, and appointment information into EHR (Athena).
  • Verify insurance eligibility/benefits and assess patient’s out-of-pocket expense for office visit.
  • Review and explain payment plans to patients.
  • Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at check-in.
  • Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff when necessary.

Skills:

  • Must be friendly and personable and enjoy working with the public
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to multi-task.
  • Computer skills required (EHR experience required)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with appointment scheduling in a medical office required
  • Excellent phone etiquette is a must
  • Must be detail oriented while remaining flexible at all times
  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment

This position is a full time/great benefit package/ and competitive wages.
