PRN Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)Surgi-Center of Central VA is a leading multispecialty surgery center dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in a modern and patient-focused environment. Position Overview:We are currently looking for experienced and dedicated PRN Operating Room Registered Nurses (OR RNs) to join our team. As a PRN OR RN at Surgi-Center of Central VA, you will have the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis with no weekends, no holidays, and no call required. This role offers flexibility and a supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterilized and ready.
Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures, including monitoring vital signs and assisting the surgical team.
Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures, following aseptic techniques.
Administer medications as prescribed by the surgeon.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, surgical techs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient procedures.
Act as a patient advocate, providing emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Document patient information and procedures accurately in electronic health records.
Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain infection control standards.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized surgical environment.

#USP-RN #USP-123 Required Skills:
Current RN license in the state of VA
Previous experience in the operating room or perioperative nursing.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile field maintenance.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure surgical situations.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety.
