Requires weekend and evening hours during peak tax preparation season. Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day. Job Summary The Tax Time Intern will support the Tax Time Program, which provides free tax assistance to low- and middle-income families across Central Ohio and surrounding counties. Additionally, Tax Time focuses on providing financial empowerment opportunities to clients by connecting clients with resources and programs offered through Tax Time partners. This internship role will provide an in-depth experience working in a non-profit program that focuses on collective impact through financial empowerment. The opportunity will provide a diverse array of opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills. Job Responsibilities The Tax Time intern position will focus on various tasks that support program planning and implementation. Some of the focus areas of the internship will be the following:
Volunteer recruitment outreach strategizing and opportunities
Community awareness outreach with an emphasis on Success by Third Grade school districts.
Volunteer training support
Assist tax preparation sites during the tax season
Support virtual client intake for the virtual tax preparation site team in GetYourRefund.org
Donation request outreach to local organizations for volunteer appreciation and client testimonial incentives
Provide support to Tax Time grant applications
Support research and data analytics for Tax Time proposals and projects
Assist with planning and implementation of Tax Time special events
Attend to client inquiries received via email or the Tax Time voicemail
Qualifications Job Qualifications
