Join our team at the United Way of the Ocoee Region as a Part-Time Housing Support Specialist at 20 hours per week, supporting our Housing United Program. This role is integral to our mission of providing collaborative rapid rehousing services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community. The Housing Liaison will work closely with the Housing Navigator to identify housing for clientele, facilitate housing application workshops, collect data, and research grant opportunities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Housing Identification

• Identifies appropriate permanent housing options for clients such as subsidized housing, Section 8, as well as permanent supportive housing, affordable and market rate housing, and other housing opportunities. 
• In consultation with the Housing United Case Manager and the client, determine housing barriers, preferences, needs, and goals and apply for housing.
• In partnership with the Housing Navigator, develop and maintain a strategic plan to maintain and expand a diverse landlord network. 

Housing Application Workshops:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of housing application workshops.
• Evaluate workshop effectiveness and participant feedback to continuously improve workshop content and delivery.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to assist with housing application workshops. 

Data Collection:

• Assist in the collection and maintenance of accurate data related to client demographics, landlord partnerships, housing placements, and program outcomes.
• Utilize database systems to input and track relevant information, ensuring data integrity and compliance with reporting requirements.
• Administers follow-up surveys to program participants to evaluate program effectiveness. 

Grant Research:

• Support the Housing Navigator in researching grant opportunities and drafting proposals to secure funding for the Housing United Program.
• Assist in gathering necessary documentation and data to strengthen grant applications.
• Collaborate with the grant writing team to ensure timely submission of grant proposals and compliance with funder requirements.
