Summary
The Enterprise Architect within the Covation global holding company plays a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the technology landscape that supports our diverse portfolio of businesses worldwide. The Enterprise Architect is critical in designing and implementing the technological infrastructure and solutions necessary to support Covation’s strategic objectives and long-term goals. This position is responsible for overseeing the architecture design, implementation, and governance across various subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, while fostering innovation and scalability. They are responsible for analyzing the current technology environment, identifying areas for improvement, and developing plans to address those needs.
This role requires a deep understanding of both business processes and technology solutions to architect scalable, reliable, and secure systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise-level IT architecture, coupled with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and stakeholder landscapes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Enterprise Architecture Development: Lead the development and maintenance of the enterprise architecture framework, encompassing systems, applications, data, and infrastructure across multiple business units and regions, ensuring compatibility and integration with the existing IT environment.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with Chief Information Officer, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams in China and the US to help define and refine the global IT strategy for Covation, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business goals and objectives.
  • Solution Design and Evaluation: Drive the design and evaluation of technology solutions, considering factors such as scalability, performance, interoperability, security, usability, and cost-effectiveness, while leveraging emerging trends and best practices.
  • Supply Chain Integration: Collaborate with IT and Operations teams across United Wheels and FuturuX to drive integration and operational efficiency in distribution and manufacturing operations, leveraging emerging technology where possible.
  • Data Analytics: Support Management Information Reporting efforts, leveraging existing investments in data storage and business intelligence tools, to drive Covation-level data analysis, as well as preparation for public reporting requirements.
  • Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce architecture governance processes, standards, policies, and best practices to ensure consistency, reliability, interoperability, security, and compliance across Covation's IT landscape.
  • Change Management and Innovation: Lead change management efforts related to IT architecture initiatives, driving adoption of new technologies, processes, and methodologies to enhance business agility and competitiveness.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct managerial responsibilities; indirect supervisory responsibility involving overseeing and guiding individuals or teams across Covation through influence, collaboration, or delegated tasks.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in enterprise architecture roles, preferably within a global corporate environment; experience in consulting, supply chain management, finance, and/or operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, with relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management disciplines, with relevant certifications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of retail industry dynamics and familiarity with international logistic operations.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, hybrid IT environments, and emerging technologies relevant to large-scale enterprises.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive alignment across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, as well as present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven leadership and project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources effectively, and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, financial models and budgeting.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work across different time zones to support global business operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.

Computer Skills
Microsoft Office Products with extensive experience with social media platforms, new media and digital marketing.
