**Hours** : Full time, 38.75 hours per week Monday - Friday. No weekends, evenings or holidays

**Location** : 123 Summer St, Worcester, MA 01608

**Specialty** : Orthopedics

**Primary Responsibilities:**

Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment

Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG's

Administer injections and collect specimens

Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software

Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork

Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures

**Required Qualifications:**

High School diploma or GED

Current, unrestricted nursing license (i.e. RN, LPN, LVN) in the state of Massachusetts

Ability to commute to the office location

**Preferred Qualifications:**

CPR certification

Additional healthcare certifications including ARRT, CEHRS, CBCS, CMAA, CPT

Experience working as a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician

EMR/EHR experience

Experience with medical front office and back office duties including vitals, phlebotomy, injections, casting/splinting, administering medications, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance verifications
