JOB TITLE: Senior Architecture Analyst

LOCATION: 11000 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES: Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to formalize specification of software solutions. Duties include: Evaluate business requirements and prepare the detailed functional and technical specifications that follow project guidelines; Collaborate with Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts and Capability Architects to ensure requirements and design are completely understood; Present, evaluate and communicate design to all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization; Work closely with business teams to strategize solutions that support long term business objectives; Extensive use of web services, with the ability to test APIs to ensure they work in accordance with development standards; Present to executive leadership and all levels of management; Manage expectations and explain technical details to non-technical users; and Identify markets for future product development. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business, Healthcare or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires one (1) year of experience in the following: 

• Computer systems design, architecture; 
• Define acceptance criteria for testable software functionality; 
• Database systems and SQL; 
• Software APIs;
• Request/response modeling, and data types;
• Software data structures;
• Agile / Scrum methodologies;
• diagramming of system design concepts;
• API modeling including JSON and XML; and
• Relational databases.

RATE OF PAY: $96,649 - $160,064 / per year
