We are looking for a strong and savvy Production Accountant to join UnitedMasters! Please note that this role is a Hybrid role based in our Brooklyn, NY office: three days in office and two days remote.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with Client Finance Manager and VP of Finance on all agency initiatives such as Production budget tracking, ensure accurate client billing, maintain cost supporting documentation based on client requirements
• Work closely with Client Finance Manager on the production lifecycle from signed estimates, project setup, and cost tracking templates for client team reviews
• Meet with Production and Accounts weekly to ensure Production costs are tracking within budget
• Maintain all Production estimates and manage estimate uploads in respective client portals
• Maintain management reports such as missing, active /closed jobs, and production reconciliations
• Maintenance of Netsuite records such as ensuring closure of reconciled production and completed creative fee projects, upload client contracts and approvals in job jackets.
• Work closely with Business Affairs to reconcile production costs against billed estimates in a timely manner for accurate revenue recognition
• Review vendor purchase orders for approval
• Work with billing and accounting department to solve any client billing issues and outstanding production items
• Support the Finance team with ad hoc internal financial reporting 
• Assist in the development of new processes and workflow
• Support production teams with any administrative accounting questions and concerns while making sure they are following company policies and audit procedures
• Assist with reconciliation of budget actuals against the general ledger

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have a strong proficiency in Excel or Google sheets. 
• Must be able to work with datasets and help create narratives based on data and other metrics
• Exceptional communication skills when working with account teams and Production
• Solution oriented with great attention to detail
• Must be proactive and willing to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working in production accounting 
• Experience with major financial systems such as SAP, Peoplesoft, NetSuite is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite is a major plus
• General accounting experience
• Experience with any cost tracking analysis and working with large production budgets

Salary Hiring Range: $75,000 - $95,000

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)

Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. 

The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.

The salary range above is for the NY/CA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location.
