Unity Search has partnered with a reputable asset management in its search for a Controller. Our client has brand new offices in Uptown, the company is doing exceptionally well and growing via acquisitions, they have a sharp leadership team, and the position is open due to an internal promotion!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the finance team and overall financial operations
• Review financial statements ensuring accuracy
• Maintain and institute required accounting policies, procedures and controls
• Understand and assess new accounting pronouncements and implementation when applicable
• Oversee the accounting teams with respect to all month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes
• Provide senior management with management reporting, metrics and counsel
• Provide “Purchase Accounting” support with respect to new acquisitions
• Perform other related duties as necessary

Requirements:

• CPA
• 10 years experience
• Large public accounting foundation preferred ideally coupled with real estate/asset management industry experience
• Good personality and strong written and verbal communication skills required

Compensation: $140 - $160k plus 20% Bonus
