Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures in the OB/GYN department.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain medical history, and vital signs.
- Assist with medical procedures, including pap smears, prenatal care, and minor surgeries.
- Perform venipuncture and collect specimens for laboratory testing.
- Provide support and comfort to patients during their visit to our practice
- Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
- Current CME certification for Certified Medical Assistant and AAMA, NCCT, NHA or AMT (RMA) certification
- Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Mandatory Reporter certification
- Meets educational/competency requirements per policy.
- Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
- Computer data entry experience.
- Mandatory Reporter certification.
- CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures
- Able to write, read, comprehend and speak fluent English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred
