The Family Health Educator is a committed individual who provides health education and support services to the community in the areas of Family Health, focusing on parenting/infant care and related topics. This position provides a crucial link to the hospital and prepares families for childbirth, their hospital stay, and early postpartum period in our family-centered care environment before they transition home. This position will provide flexibility in scheduling.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or coursework in nursing, education, health care, or health management.
* Experience teaching parenting programs, infant education and safety
* Experience in Postpartum or Labor and Delivery
* Educational preparation in principles and theory of adult education.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience with technology.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and group setting.
* Teaching with organizational principles in mind and with an understanding of hospital policies and procedures.
* Able to incorporate different methods of learning into groups, including the use of all types of audio-visual equipment.
* Remains current with all learning applications, evaluations, and meetings throughout the year.
Preferred Qualifications:
* RN License and/or experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery and postpartum.
