The Simulation Coordinator/Student Success Facilitator provides professional coordination of the simulation and clinical skills for interdisciplinary experiences in the Simulation Center. Manages the operations of the Simulation Center, including leading, organizing, and developing people and programs to accomplish goals, objectives, and missions. The instructional assistant will collaborate with the Student Success Center to assist with exam proctoring, tutoring, and assist with various scheduled opportunities for student success as directed by the program Dean and/or Success Center Coordinator.

ResponsibilitiesSimulation Coordinator
- Manages the daily operations of the Simulation Center.
- Organizes and prioritizes scheduling of the Simulation Center experience for all programs, including rooms, equipment, and faculty/educators.
- Ensures adequate provisions of supplies to meet Simulation Center demands.
- Manages information technology/systems, including virtual systems operation and support.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates simulation education using evidence-based standards of practice and care.
- Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
- The role may include scenario design and development, pre-simulation preparation, and implementation and facilitation.
- Provides input into the Simulation Center budget planning and management.
- Policy and procedure creation, oversight, revision, and enforcement.
- Manages warranties, preventative maintenance, and other contractual arrangements.
- Effectively sustains adequate job knowledge, professional growth, and problem-solving abilities, including current evidence in the field of nursing and health sciences simulation and clinical practice.
- Mentoring or training new educators/facilitators/operational staff.
- Assess, evaluate, and report use and outcomes of the Simulation Center.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring, group workshops, and other activities designed to help students in the areas of general education courses and programmatic courses, both virtually and face to face.
- Maintain the testing facilities, test proctoring and testing accommodations for all ADA requests.
- Assist students to develop effective study and time management skills as related to academic requirements.
- Presents positive image at college and UPH functions and
- Communicates appropriately and professionally.
- Completes other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Nursing, Associate Dean of Health Sciences, or Academic Dean.
- Fulfills all duties and responsibilities appropriate to assigned rank.

- Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse.
