Universal Industrial Painting is Hiring an Area Manager Near Dallas, TX

Purpose of the Position

The role of the Area Manager is to supervise and manage the multiple onsite working crews ensuring all work orders are performed on time, on budget as per the contract specifications and consistently exceeding the Company's quality and safety standards. Plans, directs, and supervises the overall maintenance operation of assigned teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train, work along-side and supervision of multiple multi state projects personnel. Provide leadership abilities.
  • Teach, train, and educate on safety awareness (Toolbox topics) and coordinate advanced training with UPC Safety Director.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Flawlessly execute the project responsibilities for each job
  • Implement effective control methods in the areas of production, scheduling, inspection, testing and safety
  • Provide senior leadership on each job site establishing accountability and consistently modeling high work standards
  • Work in tandem doing all tasks of physical labor including, spraying, troweling, rolling, sandblasting, water blasting, erecting scaffolding, pressure washing, lifting, brushing and other onsite tasks to train and assist crews in the labor pool.
  • Trains team members in standard operating procedures
  • Supervises and assists in preparation of required records, productions reports, and administrative requirements to include timekeeping, man hour tracking and human resources information with the Project Administrator.
  • Provide review man hours each week.
  • Submit and tag all charge receipts and code to job specific.
  • Assist in obtaining all necessary permits and licenses
  • Read, review, and discuss with each Foreman the Product Data Sheet for specified systems
  • Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather or emergencies at all sites
  • Prepare and submit progress and cost tracking estimates
  • Provide photos to Dropbox of all onsite activities once completed.
  • Maintain company issued equipment including use of company vehicle.
  • Coordinate training on all power tools handheld and free standing.
  • Liaison between inspectors and project managers.
  • Attend weekly conference calls and bi-monthly staff meetings in the main office as determined by management
  • Order all onsite materials, equipment and arrange shipping/delivery.
  • Develop a good working relationship with owners, engineers, inspectors, safety personnel on specific job sites.
  • Responsible for review and maintenance of job cost and all overruns
  • Register and maintain log of personal miles on company issued vehicle
  • Addressing all administrative tasks via email, phone calls or database regarding each active jobsite via tablet, laptop or phone
  • Extremely knowledgeable with building codes, safety regulations, and governmental agency and company directives as related to painting operations and practice safe work habits
  • Attend and conduct onsite meetings with contractors, inspectors, and city officials
  • Ability to travel (80%) to job sites that will require overnight or extended stays
  • Manage proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in the painting industry
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedules
  • Must have ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate ability to multitask
  • Attend mandatory company specific training and safety sessions/classes that occur after business hours and weekends. Enroll and attend industry knowledge advancement class, seminars, speeches, etc., without compensation of wages from the company
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other project related software available to industry
  • Monitor and control materials, expendables, and equipment. Supervise and approve requisition of additional materials
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to coordinate projects through completion
  • Must be flexible in work schedules and location
  • Good communication skills; written and verbal
  • Assist with completing both Daily and Monthly Job Site Inspection Reports for each site and submit to corporate office
  • Responsible for ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Must maintain a thorough knowledge of company Quality Assurance and Safety Manuals. Assures conformance to prescribed standards of production and quality
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, technical plans, and project specifications

Must be located in Dallas or the north part of the state.

Must Have experience in water and wastewater treatment facilities

Bilingual, is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
