Key Responsibilities :

• Manage service and repair personnel by assigning and directing activities, following up on repairs being made, perform repairs as needed and appraise performance of shop personnel.
• Plan and schedule repairs, being proactive to job reviewing the work load for the day, making an efficient execution plan.
• Assist technicians with diagnostic and mechanical help as needed.
• Perform ongoing hands-on-training of service and repair personnel.
• Oversee active jobs to ensure they are within the estimated limits of the customer's expectations.
• Update customers on daily job progress.
• Act as a backup for the Maintenance Manager / Service Writer with answering the phone, responding to emails and COD customer billing when needed.

Qualifications :

• Valid Class A or B driver's license is recommended.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities on a wide range of Class 6, 7, 8, trucks and medium duty trucks.
• Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to new software programs.
• Excellent communication skills, management priorities and organizational skills.
