POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates radiology equipment, performing special procedures, utilizing specialized equipment and using prescribed ionizing radiation for radiology diagnosis. Performs specialized procedures requiring independent judgment, assuring all safety standards are met. Maintains good working relationships with co-workers and other University Health customers supporting the UH policies, values, and guest relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in Allied Health Science or equivalent. Registry by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent. License by the Texas Department of Health (MRT) is mandatory. One (1) year as a staff technologist in a hospital is required and two years of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist is preferred.
