POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Properly operates ultrasound equipment in order to produce high quality diagnostic cardiac images. Demonstrates knowledge of thoracic anatomy and internal structural anatomy of the heart. Knows the basic principles of Echocardiography, such as M-Mode, 2-Dimensional and Doppler Ultrasound. Performs various leadership activities and behaviors. Complies with instructions from immediate supervisor and/designee. Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers and University Health's employees, patients, doctors and guests.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have an Associate Degree as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and possess one of the following Registries: RDCS-with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or RCS-with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Must have at least two years of Echocardiography experience. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support
