What You Will DoThe Manager of Finance for UHPS, in partnership with another UHPS manager, has responsibility to oversee the strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial support of the physician services network for University Hospitals Medical Practices (UHMP), University Hospitals Medical Group (UHMG), and Lake Health Physician Group (LHPG). This position will support various operational leaders in understanding financial impacts of provider practices, budget variances, and opportunities for improvement. This position will be actively engaged with operators and physicians to provide financial overview and support in resolving key variances and business needs. In addition, this position will partner closely with Accounting, Revenue Cycle, HR/Recruitment, Strategic Planning, Hospitals and Legal on various financial related activities including but not limited to contracts, business plans, key financial indicator reporting, value improvement processes, and compensation modeling/review. This position will be responsible for monitoring internal controls and work in conjunction with various financial and operational leaders across other UH businesses.
The position will primarily support the VP of Finance and will attend/coordinate various meetings, participate in Value Improvement Process (VIP) initiatives, present at leadership and Board meetings, and mentor/develop the analysts from the Finance desk team. As needed, the manager will also support other areas within the Vice President of Finance span of control. This role will require some travel between Management Center, physician practice sites, hospitals and may be required to attend some early morning or evening meetings.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- MBA (Preferred)
Working Knowledge Of
- Oracle
- Cost accounting
- EPIC (EMR)
- Revenue cycle
- Utilization management and patient access
- Analytical/Reporting tools (PowerBI, PowerPivot, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, General ledger, Accounts Payable and Revenue Cycle systems required.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel required.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- High critical thinking and attention to detail
