DescriptionBonus: $6000; $3000 paid after 90 days and $3000 paid after 1 year Shift: 40 hrs/wk day shiftA Brief OverviewPerforms high and moderate complexity testing at a basic level.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
- Associate’s Degree in medical laboratory technology or in biological, chemical science (Required) OR
- Bachelor’s Degree In biological or chemical science (Required) or
- Requirement specific in CLIA ’88 to perform high complexity testing. (Required) and
- Graduate from a certified MT program. (Required)
- Medical Technologist (MT-ASCP) or equivalent certification within 1 Year (Required)
- Thorough knowledge of testing procedures and quality standards. (Required proficiency)
- Basic computer skills. (Required proficiency)
- Medical Lab Technician (MLT-ASCP) (Required) and
- Medical Lab Technician (MLT-ASCP) or equivalent certification within 1 Year (Required)
- Specific CLIA ’88 to perform complexity testing. (Required)
